CLARKSBURG, Md. (WUSA) -- Holiday travelers and morning commuters have run into a couple traffic snags in Montgomery County early this morning.
Drivers on the Capital Beltway will encounter a trouble spot on the Inner Loop near Route 355 where a tractor trailer crashed early Friday morning. Maryland State Police say the truck jack-knifed around midnight. Two left lanes were blocked by the wreckage and clean-up crews, but have reopened.
Montgomery County Police and crews from the Maryland State Highways Administration also directed traffic around an overturned tractor trailer that has closed the northbound lanes of I-270 at Father Hurley Boulevard for several hours early Friday morning. MDSHA crews along with Montgomery County Police directed traffic around the incident. The roadway just reopened around 5:20 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported in either incident.
