(WUSA) -- A man from Stafford, Va. was sentenced on Friday to 10 years in prison for having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl who he met online and then drove to Canada to have sex with earlier this year.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Johnny Soza will have to serve prison time and then 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Court records show that the girl's father found sexually explicit photos of his daughter and conversations between his daughter and Soza on her iPod.
The girl, who is from Canada, met Soza online and told him she was a 15-year-old virgin. Record show from April 2011 to February 2012 Soza got the girl to send dozens of naked photos of herself and engage in sexually explicit conduct via webcam. Soza also planned several trips to Canada to have sexual relations with her or bring her to the United States. Then, around Feb. 17, 2012, he drove to Canada and had sex with her.
Authorities also found that Soza had enticed other girls between the ages of 12 and 15 and sent thousands of text messages to them.
