COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) - Finals... papers... it's a stressful time of year for college students. But students at the University of Maryland have come up with an unusual way to cope, thanks to the third annual happening known as the Puppy Palooza.
How can you be stressed out when you're holding a two-month-old pup?
You can't! Which is the whole reason that every year - student groups team up with A Forever Home Foundation to bring together puppies and students right before finals.
In just three years... Puppy Palooza has become legendary on campus.
Students stand in line to get in to the event, and say it's "totally worth it."
Each dog has its own way of taking the stress away. Cato likes to play. But King? He's pooped. Little Droopy is a cuddler.
Gloria, like most of the puppies, come from high-kill shelters. All of them still need a home. Only problem with this situation here is that most of these students want to adopt these little guys but they can't because they still live in on campus housing.
