GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA) -- Three teens have been arrested and charged after assaulting and robbing a 17-year-old victim, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.
On Friday, at about 2:04 p.m. officers arrived at the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane after reports of a strong arm robbery. The 17-year-old victim said he was walking along a path in the woods when the group of teens approached him and began assaulting him, police said.
According to police, once the victim was knocked to the ground the teens stole his cell phone and money from the victim's wallet, then fled the scene.
Shortly after, officers got a tip that suspicious men were seen running into a home on Brooks Terrace Rd. Police later determined that the suspects were the same men involved in the robbery earlier that day.
Police arrested and charged three males between 14 and 16 years of age with robbery, second degree assault and theft. All three are from Glen Burnie.
