LAUREL, Md. (WUSA) --  An adult female was injured after a Prince George's County Fire engine and her car collided.

The accident took place on Sunday at about 3:15 p.m. as firefighters were responding to a fire it was involved in a collision with a car on Contee Rd. and Claxton Drive.

The woman driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.

The firefighters on-board the engine were not injured. The crash is being investigated by the Prince George's County Police Department.
