FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police will be patrolling the streets this weekend in search of drunk drivers.
The crackdown is part of a statewide drunk driving enforcement operation known as Project SOLO - Saving Our Loved Ones, Prince George's County police posted on its blog.
Police will be patrolling Pennsylvania Ave. and Marlboro Pike in Forestville on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. On Friday, police surveilled the area along University Blvd. corridor.
PGPD began participating in Project SOLO in November during a three day initiative. During that time, the department made 200 traffic stops, issued over 200 traffic citations and made 12 DUI arrests, authorities informed.
The project will continue on various nights through May.
