WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - Target's got a sugar daddy. And he's spending a little time in every store starting Saturday morning. He'll be offering up some flair and fashion for the folks who don't drive fancy cars... and giving them a reason to call it... Targee.
The Target-Neiman Marcus collaboration brings together 24 famous designers who've created more than 50 limited-edition gifts. The eclectic collection includes Derek Lam Slippers and a skateboard, a Tory Burch lunch box, Brian Atwood gloves, Oscar de la Renta pet bow, Rag and Bone Flask and men's sweater, an Alice and Olivia bike, and a Diane von Furstenburg yoga mat.
"It an interesting kind of dynamic, between having high-end retail and from a more moderately priced retail store. I think it's great," said Courtney Thompkins who was shopping at the Columbia Heights, D.C. store.
Store Manager Darran Whitlock said, "You should pay the same price here that you pay at Neiman Marcus. It'll be very economical. Good deals, a lot of excitement."
Whitlock expects the entire collection to sell out at his Columbia Heights store within two hours.
Targets open at 8 a.m., and lines are expected to start forming by 6 a.m.
As far as prices, there's something for everyone.
They range from $7.99 to $499, with most items costing less $60.
