MECHANICVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- Two men were charged and nearly 7,000 pills were recovered during investigations into two burglaries at a Maryland pharmacy.
Pills were stolen from the New Market Pharmacy in Mechanicsville, Md. in August and again in November. On Aug. 14, nearly 1,656 Hydrocodone pills were stolen after hours from the pharmacy. On Nov. 19, authorities say more than 11,000 pills were stolen from the same pharmacy.
Detectives and deputies were able to identify 27-year-old Christopher Aloysius Guy of Mechanicsville as the suspect in the August burglary. They later determined that Guy assisted 27-year-old Mark Thomas Krenzler of Wicomico Shores in the November burglary.
Authorities executed a search and seizure warrant at Guy's home and say they found thousands of stolen pills, burglary tools and the safe stolen from the pharmacy. A search of Krenzler's home revealed pills, say authorities. More than 7,000 pills were found in total over 7,000 pills.
Guy was held on $10,000 bond and no bond was set for Krenzler.
