WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -- Apparently there are still rich people who love President Obama. All the talk of raising taxes on millionaires hasn't kept some swanky D.C. hotels from offering inauguration packages at prices only a billionaire could love.
The Ritz Carlton may be offering the most expensive sleep this side of the Lincoln Bedroom. The four-night inauguration package includes airport transportation and first class flights from anywhere in the US.
You'll stay in a luxury penthouse suite with working fireplace, your own iMac, Nakamichi stereo, and a rainshower.
You can take home the luxury linens emblazoned with the Presidential seal.
The suite includes a fabulous balcony, but no view of the inauguration or the parade. But you do get a birdseye view at the Newseum with all you can eat and drink from Wolfgang Puck.
You also get Presidential cocktails, Michelle Obama cookies, and a whole bunch of extras including a walk on the President's route to the Capitol balcony with D.C.'s hottest guide and a $35,000 diamond and ruby brooch from Ann Hand.
The total price: just $100,000.
"You can't buy this package," says general manager David Child. "You couldn't put it together if you tried."
And if 100 grand's too rich for you, there's always the cheapest room at the Ritz: $1000 a night, four night minimum -- pre paid!
At President Obama's first inauguration, D.C. hotel rooms averaged more than 600 dollars a night. Organizers do not expect 1.8 million visitors for the second inaugural, so maybe you can put your visiting relatives up on someone's couch for cheaper.
