WEST AUGUSTA, Va. (AP) - The search for a missing Staunton man continues on Shenandoah Mountain in Augusta County.

Augusta County Sheriff Randy Fisher says crews are concentrating on an area where a search dog had multiple alerts on Sunday.

Fisher says the terrain is steep and treacherous.

The News Leader (http://bit.ly/ZZlblN ) reports that the sheriff held a news conference Monday to provide an update on the search for 60-year-old Robert Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald was last seen on Nov. 12. He was reported missing Thursday when he didn't show up for work.

Fitzgerald's vehicle was found near the Confederate Breastworks Trail. Police say he dropped his cell phone in that area while hiking on Nov. 11 and returned the next day to find it.

Searchers haven't found any signs of Fitzgerald since the search began Thursday.
