MT. RAINIER (WUSA) -- Mt. Rainier Police say officers are trying to identify the man who was shot and killed in the street early Wednesday morning.
Around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, officers say that they received calls about gunshots in the 3800 block of 37th Street (the intersection of 37th and Rhode Island Avenue). When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the street suffering from a wound.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 5:30 a.m. Police have not identified the man or a possible suspect. They are trying to establish a motive in the case.
