TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- A 17-year-old boy from Washington, D.C. was arrested for rogue and vagabond after he was allegedly caught breaking into a car.
Takoma Park Police officials say officers responded to Second Avenue on Thursday at approximately after they were told someone was breaking into a vehicle. According to police, the victim surprised the suspect when he was caught attempting to break into the vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot northbound on Second Avenue towards Spring Street.
Police say officers later found a male fitting the description of the suspect in the area of Fifth Avenue and Orchard Avenue.
The 17-year-old was charged with rogue and vagabond. He was released to the custody of his parent, say police.
