WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) DC Police tell 9NEWS that a woman in custody at the Third District Station in NW Washington was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say that Ukalie Boyd was transported at approximately 8 p.m. Friday. The 42-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer, simple assault and the possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. According to authorities, she was pronounced dead less than an hour later. Internal Affairs Division is investigating.
The Third District Police Station is located in the 1600 of V Street, NW.
