WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - A June 25, 2012 traffic collision has been classified as a fatality after the death of the injured pedestrian, according to Metropolitan Police.
The collision took place at 7:04 p.m. in the 4700 block of Southern Avenue, SE. when a red 2010 Toyota Camry traveling southwest bound collided with a silver 2007 Nissan Maxima that was traveling northeast on Southern Avenue.
A pedestrian in the crosswalk was struck by one of the cars and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The pedestrian, identified as Maurice Franklin of Southeast, D.C., died of his injuries on Nov. 5, 2012 at 9:17 p.m.
MPD's Major Crash Unit is investigating this crash.
