MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Evan James Polk, 28, is behind bars for attempting to distribute marijuana, Prince William County Police said.
On Oct. 18, detectives from Prince William and City-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force finished an investigation about marijuana distribution in the area of Liberia Ave. and Signal Hill Road in Manassas.
Police discovered that Polk, of Truckee, Ca., was shipping marijuana for distribution from California to Prince William County. Undercover officials arranged for Polk to fly into Price William County for a drug transaction. He was immediately arrested upon arrival.
Polk was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He is being held without bond.
Nevada County Sheriff's Office in California assisted in this investigation.
