NORTH BEACH, Md. (WUSA) -- The Office of the State Fire Marshal and Calvert County Sheriff's Office are investigating after someone reportedly threw or placed two Molotov cocktails in an area in North Beach, Md.
On Saturday, a passerby noticed fire in front of a house at 2nd and Erie streets at approximately 4:44 a.m. Six firefighters were able to get the fire under control in approximately 2 minutes.
Authorities say approximately $50 worth of damaged was caused by the Molotov cocktail.
Investigators later found that part of a Molotov cocktail had landed in a resident's yard.
They continue to investigate and they are asking anyone with information to call 443-550-6834.
