Md. Diner Worker Robbed, Assaulted

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA) -- Frederick police say they are investigating an armed robbery of an employee at the Old Town Diner.

The robbery happened at 11 p.m. Tuesday after a man came into the diner and spoke with the employee. The employee went outside with the man to speak with him more.

According to police, that's when the man took out a knife and assaulted the employee. He took cash from the employee and then fled in a dark colored passenger car. 

The employee suffered minor injuries but did not need to be treated.
