RESTON, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax County Police say a woman who was shot in Reston on Tuesday morning has succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Police responded for a report of a shooting at 11310 Geddys Court in Reston at approximately 9:40 a.m. They found a woman shot at the scene. She was taken to a local hospital where she died.

A man is in custody, say police, but they are still investigating. 

The names of the woman and the man have not been released.
