SCOTLAND, Md. (WUSA) -- St. Mary's County authorities identified three suspects who may have been involved in an alleged assault against a 10-year-old boy at Camp Ernest W. Brown.
The allegations were made in August. A camp administrator told officers that the boy reported being assaulted by three camp counselors there in July.
After investigating, authorities say detectives established probable cause that the young camp attendee was assaulted on July 25. Two of the suspects are 17 years old and from Washington, D.C. Authorities said in a press release that the two males were "referred to juvenile services for further legal action by juvenile authorities." The other suspect, 19-year-old Shane D. Baptiste is also from D.C. He is charged with second degree assault.
Camp Brown is run by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington D.C.
