WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- D.C. police say they have arrested a 23-year-old man for the death of his cousin, 25-year-old Dewayne Wills. Police believe Wills was involved in a fight at the intersection of Abbey Street and L Street, NE before he was transported to the hospital in private car on May 26.
Wills suffered a head injury and was in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries on June 4. The day after his death, medical examiners performed an autopsy and determined he died from blunt force trauma. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Thursday, September 27 police with an arrest warrant took 23-year-old Arvel Wills of Northwest, DC into custody. Arvel Wills is charged with Murder Two.
