CHANTILLY, Va. (WUSA) - Parking garages at Dulles International Airport have reopened after police searched them Monday night after reports of a possible threat, according to media reports.
The garages were closed for several hours, leaving passengers who had parked there no access to their vehicles.
The Metropolitan Airports Authority said that after some delays, flight activity is back to normal, and the terminals, economy and hourly parking lots remained open.
MWAA said that contrary to some reports, the airport was not evacuated.
Several passengers at Dulles tweeted about a large police presence at the airport and rumors of a possible security breach, but authorities have not confirmed this.
