FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- Fire investigators say a house fire in the Kingstowne area of Fairfax County on Monday morning was started because combustibles were too close to an ignition source.
Fairfax County firefighters arrived at the single-family home in the 6800 block of Rolling Creek Way at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday. They found heavy smoke coming from the roof and eaves of the home.
Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down, preventing it from spreading to a home nearby. Fire officials say the home was vacant.
No one was injured during the accidental fire.
The damage is estimated at $200,000, according to fire officials.
