WHEATON, Md. (WUSA) -- The man wanted for killing his girlfriend on Saturday is in custody in Miami, Montgomery County Police informed.
On Monday at about 2:40 pm. the Miami Beach Police Department got a call about an attempted suicide at the Versailles Hotel on South Beach.
Police say Martire Puente-Fulcar, 31, jumped from the rooftop of the nine story hotel and is currently in critical condition.
On Saturday at about 3:31 a.m. police responded to the 2200 block of Georgian Way in Wheaton for a domestic assault report. When officers entered the apartment building they found 37-year-old Rocio Nikaury Morcelo dead in the stairwell of her apartment complex.

Police say the suspect was in a relationship with Morcelo and lived in the apartment with her and three children. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Fulcar and are charging him with first degree murder.
Authorities will begin extradition arrangements once Fulcar is medically cleared from the hospital.
