Lake Forest, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte has
been ruled out for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
Forte suffered a right ankle injury during last Thursday's 23-10 loss to the
Green Bay Packers and hasn't practiced this week.
Michael Bush will likely start at running back against the Rams and the Bears
recently re-signed Kahlil Bell to add depth at the position. Bell rushed for
337 yards on 79 carries to go along with 19 receptions for 133 yards and a
touchdown in 13 games for the Bears last season but was waived in August.
Forte, who signed a four-year deal with Chicago during the offseason, has run
for 4,344 yards and 22 touchdowns since joining the Bears as a second-round
draft pick out of Tulane in 2008.
