(WUSA) -- A police officer in Texas put his own life on the line when he pushed a woman out of the path of two vehicles on Monday. He and another officer were responding to an accident at the time.

EverythingLubbock.com (http://everythinglubbock.com/fulltext?nxd_id=119532)reports that a van hit one of the police cars, sending it towards the officers. Dash camera video shows one officer pushing a woman out of the way as the van and the police car go flying towards them.

The woman only suffered minor injuries from falling, and the officer was treated and released from the hospital. according to the website.

The report says the driver of the van was arrested and charged with intoxication assault.
