WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -  A suspect is being sought in an armed sexual assault that took place Saturday evening in the area of Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Street, NW, according to police.

Police were called to the 6600 block of 1st Street, NW at about 6 p.m. for a report of a woman who had been assaulted. She told police that she was sexually assaulted by a suspect while she was in the area of Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Streets NW.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6-feet-tall, with a medium build, shoulder length dreadlocks, and armed with a gun.
