WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A D.C. police spokesman says the barricade situation that began in the 1300 block of Congress Street SE Monday morning is now over.  Police say there have been no reports of shots fired and no one has been injured.

Yesterday morning, D.C. firefighters responded to a call for a fire in that block, only to learn that a barricade situation was happening there.

Police at the scene told them there was no fire and the firefighters went back into service.

Police were last reported at the scene of the barricade on the 10th floor of 1322 Congress St. SE around 11:15 p.m. Monday.  Police officials available for comment early Tuesday morning reported there were no longer units in the area, and Congress Street had reopened to traffic.  As of this writing, there is no clear information coming from the Metropolitan Police Department on exactly when and how the incident was resolved.
