WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A man, carrying a gun, was stopped at Reagan National Airport on Friday morning, Transportation Safety Agency Officials said.

"The gun and ammunition magazine, which contained six rounds of ammunition, were detected by TSA officers in the carry-on bag of the Victor, West Virginia, resident," TSA officials said.
The Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority Police took the gun away from the 43-year-old man.
He was cited on a state weapons charge.
"There was no impact to airport operations and the man was able to catch his scheduled flight to Detroit," officials said.
