HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA) - Prince George's County police say they have arrested two 17-year-olds in the stabbing of a 15-year-old Northwestern High School student in Hyattsville.

The stabbing occurred in the 6700 block of Belcrest Road on September 5th, and the arrested suspects are 17-year-old Wilian Josue Beza-Martinez of Mount Rainier and 17-year-old Yony Martinez-Barillas of Hyattsville.

According to police, officers responded to the Belcrest Road address for a reported cutting at 2:50 p.m. that day. Officers say they found the victim suffering from several stab wounds.

The victim had reportedly been approached by the suspects and a fight broke out, and during that fight the victim was allegedly stabbed several times with an ice pick. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the stabbing stemmed from a fight that had occurred the previous day involving the victim's cousin.

Both Beza-Martinez and Martinez-Barillas are being charged as adults.
