WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - The body of a man was recovered from the Potomac River on Monday afternoon, according to MPD.
A police spokesman said that the body was spotted floating in the water about 2:12 p.m., heading towards Thompson's Boathouse.
He said the fully clothed body was that of a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years old.
The body was pulled from the water by a DC Fire boat and taken to Thompson's boathouse.
No identification of the body has been released.
Police are continuing the investigation.
