WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA)-- DC Police are releasing surveillance video taken from an Exxon gas station on the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE on the night of August 18, 2012.
Investigators believe the suspects seen in a grey 4 door car tried using a credit card belonging to 29-year old Thomas Maslin, the man they are suspected of beating just moments before the video was taken.
Maslin, had been trying to get home to is Capitol Hill house after a night out with friends when he was savagely beaten and left on the porch of a home along the 700 block of North Carolina Ave. SE., also on Capitol Hill.
The gas station where the suspects were seen is just blocks away from where Maslin was brutally beaten.
Maslin's wife, Abby Maslin told reporters on Tuesday that he is still in the intensive care unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He has undergone several surgeries including two on his brain.
She said, "He's hanging in there, he's a fighter."
She also urged anyone who recognizes the people or the car in the surveillance video to call DC Police.
Maslin added, "This will happen again if we don't find out who is responsible here."
