(WUSA) -- Some people rode out the storm on a boat while others ventured out, on foot and on bikes, into the storm as Tropical Storm Issac began to move ashore on Sunday in Marathon, Florida.

Reports showed Isaac becoming stronger as it moved toward the Florida Keys. Forecasters said at the time that Isaac could strengthen into a Category 2 storm.
