FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA) --  Prince George's Police say James Howard Braddy, Jr. turned himself in on Saturday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend's new love interest.

On August 12, at about 12:29 p.m. Braddy entered the home of his ex-girlfriend in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill. He then confronted and shot her current boyfriend who was in the house at the time, 37-year-old Trevor Alejandro Johnson.

Braddy, 35, dragged Johnson down the steps to a parking lot near the house. Police say Braddy then shot the victim again multiple times and fled the scene.

Braddy has been charged with first degree murder and is currently held in the Department of Corrections on no bond.
