(WUSA) -- Prince George's County police say they have the second suspect in custody in the high speed chase that ended in a crash that killed a young officer.

Police say they have Kevon Neal, who was wanted in connection with Officer Adrian Morris' death earlier this week. He turned himself in to Prince George's County police on Thursday night.

Police will release more information this afternoon.

Police say he was the driver in the car chase that killed Officer Morris. Morris and his police partner had chased after the suspects in a theft at a gas station in Laurel. The suspects in the stolen car were speeding down Interstate 95 in Laurel and Beltsville crossing all lanes of traffic, according to police.

"The citizens on the Beltway make maneuvers, breaking, swerving, stopping to avoid colliding with the suspect vehicle causing a chain reaction," Major Mike Straughan said.

The chain reaction reportedly caused Officer Morris to lose control. His cruiser flipped several times before landing upright in a ravine.

Police located the stolen car in Southeast D.C. Hours later they arrested 25-year-old Kenneth Clark Mitchell of Northeast Washington who police say was the passenger.

As of now, the two suspects are charged with felony theft. But Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says if the investigation shows the men caused the crash, she could bring vehicular homocide charges.

Officer Morris was thrown from his cruiser as it rolled repeatedly. Police Chief Mark Magaw says wearing seat belts is important, but that sometimes in the heat of battling bad guys, buckling up is not the first thing on an officer's mind.

Prince George's County Police say there will be a moment of silence on Saturday at the Redskins preseason game. His funeral is slated for Tuesday.
