WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Wegmans is giving customers a break on prices.
Beginning Sunday, August 31st, the grocery store will freeze the prices on items purchased most by families.
Wegmans says the drought is behind the generosity.
Food prices are expected to be higher as farmers continue to crops to the extremely dry conditions.
Some of the Wegmans brand items include bread, macaroni & cheese, boneless/skinless chicken and greek yogurt.
There are more than 60 products on Wegmans list.
The price freezes are effective from August 26-December 31st.
