WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan has had an extra distraction to deal with at practice this season: defensive back coach Raheem Morris.
"He's like my heckler. I have to block him out and focus on what I'm calling and not get tied up," Shanahan said earlier in August, during the midst of training camp. "It keeps it fun for all the other guys."
Raheem Morris smack talking is feeding on his defensive unit, and the coach realizes the strategy is bringing the entire team closer together.
"It's just the competitive nature of the guys. It's a motivational factor for our wide outs. A motivational factor for our defensive backs," said Morris.
