OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police say a man was shot after he was tased and allegedly charged an officer.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of Barnaby Lane in Oxon Hill on Sunday at approximately 10:22 p.m. for the report of a suspicious person, say police, to find a man bloodied. They notified emergency medical crews but when they arrived, the man reportedly became combative.
The officers then used a Taser, which they say took no effect. One officer says that the man actually pulled the prongs off himself, then told an officer he was going to kill him. He then reportedly charged at the officer and the officer shot the man one time.
The man was being treated for his injury, which police described as non life-threatening. Two officers suffered minor injuries, we are told.
Officers believed the man was high on PCP. His name is not being released right now.
