FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA) --  A woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a lawn mower and then falling with it into a ditch in Frederick.

At approximately 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday, police were notified that someone had damaged a fence and stolen a lawn mower in  the area of the 1100 block of Providence Ct. 

Police found Janice Bethea in the area in a ditch with the lawn mower.

Officers later determined that Bethea had broken several boards on a fence to get into a yard and then pushed the lawn mower out of the yard. 

Bethea was taken into custody and then to Central Booking, say police.
