WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A half-price ticket promotion to fly Southwest Airlines turned into a costly nightmare for some customers.

A glitch in the airline's computer system charged them multiple times for a single flight.

The special 50 percent off sale was to celebrate Southwest's reach of three million Facebook fans.

The airline says it will refund and cover all costs to those customers.
