WASHINGTON (WUSA) --  These days when you think about Jamaica, you probably think about beach resorts or maybe the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt. He broke his own record in the 100 meters Sunday night, winning the gold in just 9.63 seconds.

His victory comes as Jamaica celebrates the 50th anniversary of its independence. To tell us more about this big celebration is Professor Stephen Vasciannie, the new Jamaican Ambassador to the United States.
