FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office authorities say a 34-year-old man is accused of repeatedly raping and brutally beating a woman at his home last month.
Thirty-four-year-old Bruce Sewell Kamer is accused of forcing a woman onto his bed on July 23 and tying her up. According to authorities, throughout the night he repeatedly raped and sodomized the woman while beating her with a belt and wire hanger.
Authorities say the woman was able to get away after telling Kamer she had to go to work.
She then reported the incident to the sheriff's office. The woman was treated at the hospital for her injuries.
Kamer is now charged with rape, sodomy, abduction, inanimate object penetration, and aggravated sexual battery. He is being held without bond.
