James Murray (L) and Andre Attaway (R) charged as adults with first degree murder
BLADENSBURG, Md. (WUSA) -- Two teens are charged as adults with first degree murder and robbery after a 54-year-old man died in Bladensburg this weekend.
Prince George's County police say they arrested 16-year-old Andre Attaway and 17-year-old James Murray in connection with the murder of David Krupski.
Attaway and Murray were arrested not too long after police responded to the 5300 block of Newton Street in Bladensburg at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a call about disorderly people drinking and chasing each other with a shovel. Officers then found Krupski on the side of the road, suffering from trauma to his upper body. Police say he was found dead just a few hundred yards away from his home.
Krupski's body was transported to the medical examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
According to police, Attaway and Murray allegedly robbed, chased and beat Krupski. Police say both teens later "provided statements admitting their involvement."
