ABERDEEN, Md. (AP/WUSA) - Photos of the suspect in the abduction of Violet Ripken, mother of Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, have been released by the Harford County Sheriff's Dept. and Aberdeen Police.

Police refused to say where the photos were taken, but they appear to be frames from surveillance video at a store.

Police describe the suspect as a white man about 5'10" tall, weighing 180 pounds, with short brown hair and glasses. In the pictures, he is wearing an orange baseball cap and a white shirt.

Authorities say rewards of up to $2,000 are available for tips that lead to a conviction.

Violet Ripken was taken from her Aberdeen home on July 24, and was driven in her own car, a 1998 Silver Lincoln Town car, throughout parts of Harford and Baltimore counties before being returned to her own home early on July 25.

Anyone with information about the incident or the person in the photos is asked to contact the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-836-5432.
