BALTIMORE (WUSA) -- Baltimore County Police say that a man allegedly used an iPhone app to arrange meeting a 13-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity in February.
Thirty-six-year-old Steven Douglas Podles of Baltimore County has been charged with sexual solicitation of a minor, second degree sex offense, and related charges after the boy's parents reported that he had sexual contact with their son.
According to police, Podles (who used the profile name of "Steve") and the boy met through "Grinder" and agreed to engage in sexual activity in the Essex area. Police say Podles identified himself as 30 years old, 6'4" tall, and 200 pounds. Podles is accused of driving to an area near the boys home and then engaging in sexual activity without taking safe sex precautions.
The boy's parents found out about the incident months later, say police.
Podles is out on bail before his trial in October.
Police are asking anyone with information about him to call them at 410-307-2020.
