WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Our weather intern Ryan Smith gave a short forecast from our weather terrace on Wednesday morning. See him describe the Day Planner in the video above.

Ryan has been working with 9News Now meteorologist Howard Bernstein for the past 7 weeks, observing what they do and helping out with forecasts when he can. You may have even seen some of the graphics he made on air!

When asked what the most important thing was that he learned during his internship he said, "...always be ready for the next hit."
