BERWYN HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA) -- A contractor had to be flown to the hospital after a 20-foot fall from a ladder in Prince George's County, officials said.
It happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, at the 9200 block of Springhill Lane, officials said.
The contractor had been working on a ladder, while making repairs to an apartment building. The adult male was conscious and stated he lost feeling in one of his legs after falling on his back, so they flew him to the hospital.
Officials say, because of the possibility of a cervical spine injury, the medics opted to fly the injured man to a Specialty Center for these types of injuries.
Maryland State Police "Trooper 2" meda-vac helicopter was called and landed at the City of College Park Duval Field with the assistance of firefighters from Branchville Fire/EMS Station #811.
