WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- A West Virginia man has been charged after allegedly forcing his way into a towing company facility to take back his car.
According to Prince William County Police, 30-year-old Geoffrey Alan Todd of Martinsburg, W.Va. is charged with burglary and defrauding a garage keeper. They say Todd is accused of going to the New Dominion Towing lot in Woodbridge to try to contact staff after his car was towed on Saturday but when he noticed no one was there, he opened the garage bay door and left in his vehicle.
Officers then obtained warrants against Todd. He later turned himself into police.
Todd has a court date set for September 4. He is being held without bond.
