LANGLEY PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Langley Park, Maryland.
According to officials at the scene, a woman was hit by a flatbed two truck around 8:40 Saturday night while crossing the street at Riggs Road and University Blvd.
On Monday, police said the woman was NOT run over by older model four-door Toyota which then left the scene. The Toyota actually ran over a piece of her clothing. Police are looking, however, for the driver of that Toyota as a possible witness.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The tow truck driver stayed at the scene. The woman was not in the crosswalk when she was hit.
