WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Refrigerators crippled by power outages from the June 30th storm contributed to most of 17 restaurant health suspensions over the past two weeks according to area officials.
Health inspectors identified restaurants operating without electricity, food at unsafe temperatures, along with routine hand washing and vermin violations from June 25th through July 6th.
According to health officials in the District, Arlington, Montgomery County and Prince George's County, inspectors suspended and temporarily closed the following restaurants for food safety violations.

West Wing Cafe Washington, DC 300 New Jersey Ave., NW, food in freezer thawed out, food at unsafe temperature, hand washing
Café Romeo's, Washington, DC 2132 Wisconsin Ave NW, gross unsanitary condition
China Southern Washington, DC 306 Southern Ave SE., vermin infestation, food unsafe temperature. A manager at China Southern said he was not selling the food to the public and planned to throw it away prior to being ordered to do so.
Jenny's Washington, DC, 1000 Water St., SW vermin infestation, handwashing violation
Arlington
Wendy's Arlington, Va, 3431 Columbia Pike, sewage back-up. A Wendy's manager disputed the suspension saying the restaurant voluntarily closed.
