MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- James Bernick is behind bars after impersonating a law enforcement official while intoxicated and carrying a weapon.
On Tuesday, July 3, Manassas City Police received a call of an intoxicated man claiming to be an FBI agent at the 7-11 at 10438 Dumfries Road.
Police arrested Bernick who had a gun and other law enforcement equipment. He is charged with public intoxication, impersonating a law enforcement officer and transporting a firearm by person under a protective order.
He is being held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center with no bond. His court date is set for August 28.
